Dr. Jin Ronghua
Dr. Jin Ronghua is Chief physician, Professor and President of Beijing Ditan Hospital. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Branch of Hospital Management of Infectious Diseases, Chinese Hospital Association, Vice President of Beijing Sub-health Prevention and Treatment Association, Vice President of the Disasters Branch, China Association for Disaster & Emergency Rescue Medicine, Vice President of Chinese Research Hospital Association, and Chairman of Care and Treatment Committee of Chinese Association of STD and AIDS Prevention and Control. Dr. Jin has long dedicated himself to hospital management, research on clinical features of emerging infectious diseases and their pathogenesis, and establishment of management system for follow-up visits of patients with chronic liver diseases and HIV. He participated in SARS-related joint scientific research between China and the UK and between China and the United States. He was also involved in selection, organization and management of major projects concerning viral hepatitis in Beijing. He was part of or responsible for projects of technical platform development under the Beijing Capital Development Fund, National 863 Project and national special programs for major scientific and technological advancement. He has published more than 40 papers in domestic and international medical journals. In the past 6 years, he has published many SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author, edited and co-edited more than 10 medical monographs, and edited 2 sets of popular science textbooks on infectious diseases. He has won multiple awards including a third-prize of medical scientific and technological progress from the Chinese Medical Association, and two third-prizes of scientific and technological progress from Beijing Municipal People’s Government. He has also worked as member of or special invitee to the editorial boards of many core medical journals, such as the Chinese Journal of Health Management and the Journal of Medical Research. He was awarded the National Outstanding Youth title and the Beijing May 4th Medal.
Dr. Fujie Zhang
MD, Director, Clinical and Research Center for Infectious Diseases, Beijing Ditan Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University; Vice Dean, Professor, Doctoral Advisor, Department of Epidemiology, Capital Medical University; Member, Drug Resistance Commission, WHO; Head, Clinical Expert Team on HIV/AIDS, National Health Commission of PRC; Vice President, Professional Committee on National Standards for Communicable Diseases. Was awarded as “Beijing Talent with Outstanding Contribution”. With 31 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching and research on communicable diseases, Professor Zhang is among the first batch of doctors in China to offer antiviral treatment for AIDS. Since 2002, under the leadership by the Ministry of Health, Professor Zhang has been responsible for organizing, coordinating and implementing the free antiviral therapy for AIDS nationwide, offering treatment to over 500,000 people living with HIV/AIDS and thus has saved a huge number of lives and reduced HIV transmission through sex. Professor Zhang has chaired multiple Chinese national AIDS programs and the US NIH-endorsed projects, and published many highly-valuable papers.
